By having a belief the mind creates a dam to stop the river flowing.
The dam will create a reservoir around the belief which will grow with the help of the ego…
For reasoning to succeed the listener has to have an open mind but connotations, ego and beliefs will make even the most evidence-soaked truth become unbelievable.
In my very humble opinion, the teller of a subject will often face an impossible task no matter how much evidence that person has. For some people their journey is one of commencement rather than a path long traveled.
It matters not what each person believes or can prove. There are many systems in place to prevent it from being heard. I have no beliefs, I have ideas. I like ideas because unlike beliefs I can change them at a whim and research whatever sounds interesting.
I understand that each of us have our own unique experiences to play with and it is not for me to criticize anyone else or to prove what doesn’t need to be shared.
There are many subjects that cannot be discussed, many truths discovered that cannot be shared. We may be able to knock a few chips into the walls of the dam but it is perhaps better to spend our time nurturing our own river so that it may keep flowing freely…
